Coplay library: Library to hold Scrabble night Sept. 26

Join us for Scrabble night 5-7 p.m. Sept. 26. Everyone is welcome, so plan on challenging our experts!

As a reminder, storytime with Miss Veronica will be 11 a.m. Sept. 22 (today) and Oct. 6. No registration is necessary, and all ages are welcome to attend.

Join us for our annual October book and bake sale 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8. In addition, we will have a preview night 4-7 p.m. Oct. 6 for an admission charge. Call the library for the cost.

Donations for the sale are still being accepted. Accepted items are books and DVDs. We do not accept VHS tapes, textbooks or encyclopedias. We also cannot accept items that have been damaged by smoke or are dirty, ripped or torn.

All donations are tax deductible, and you will receive a thank you letter.

If you have any items for the sale, drop them off during library hours.

We have a 50/50 raffle going on during September, and tickets are on sale now: You can buy one, 12 or 25 tickets for a cost.

The drawing will be held 4 p.m. Oct. 8. You could be the lucky winner!

The library will sponsor another comedy night at Wisecrackers Comedy Club inside Ramada Inn, MacArthur Road, Whitehall, Oct. 15. Doors open 8 p.m., and the show will be from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Boscov’s shopping passes for its Friends Helping Friends event are on sale at the library. Take your pass to the store, and you will be able to take up to 25 percent off your purchases 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Oct. 18. Some exclusions apply.

Are you excited about the seventh-season premiere of “The Walking Dead”? Join us 1-3 p.m. Oct. 22 to talk about your favorite characters and story lines. We will have a costume contest, and the winner will receive a prize.

Five Below will be running a fundraiser for the library 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Oct. 24-28.

Stop by the library to pick up a flier. Present it to the cashier at the store, and 10 percent of your total purchase will be donated to the library.

Garden flags are still on sale at the library. We have a large selection, such as Halloween-, Thanksgiving- and Christmas-themed flags.
