Nicholas Parchomenko, 56, of Macungie, died Sept. 16, 2016, after being stricken at his residence. He was the husband of Patty M. (Holland) Parchomenko, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage March 1. Born in Rochester, N.Y., he was the son of the late Fedir Parchomenko and Olga (Pasukh) Parchomenko.
He was the district manager for Rite Aid Pharmacy, responsible for the areas of Villanova, suburbs of Philadelphia and King of Prussia for the past 35 years.
He was a very active member of Assumption Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Northampton and a strong supporter of the Children’s Miracle Network and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
He is survived by his wife; son, Nicholas F. and his wife Keli, of Alburtis; daughter, Michelle L. and her husband John Pozzetta, of Hellertown; brother, Walter, of Arlington, Va.; sister, Natalie Sawczuk, of Rochester, N.Y.
Contributions may be made in his memory to the church memorial fund c/o the funeral home.
A burial service will be held 10 a.m. Sept. 22 at Assumption Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1301 Newport Ave., Northampton, 18067. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 21 and 9 to 10 a.m. Sept. 22 in the church.
