Carl P. Lagler Sr., 92, of Upper Milford Township, died Sept. 18, 2016. He was the husband of the late Blanche G. (Kline) Lagler, who died June 27, 2012. Born in Zionsville, he was the son of the late Ludwig J. and Theresa (Loeffler) Lagler.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the South Pacific during World War II.

He and his wife were farmers and the owners of Lagler’s Farm Market. He was a machinist at Mack Trucks.

He was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.

He is survived by daughters, Doris and her husband Roy Renninger, Linda Woodring, Lucea, Carol and her husband Douglas Kirkner and Cathryn Bernhard and her life partner, Douglas Springer; son, Carl “Sonny” Jr. and his wife, Bonnie; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was the last survivor of 10 children.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Sept. 24 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. Calling hours will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 24 in the funeral home.
