According to Karen Blaine, work has begun for the Northwestern Lehigh boys high school soccer players.
No, not on the field, but at various homes in the community.
The hardworking and dedicated young men are volunteering their time to do chores and earn funds to support their buddy, Wyatt New-hard, who has been battling cancer for several years.
Homeowners and members of the community are invited to schedule a work team to come to their home or business.
A minimum two-man crew can be hired for a minimum of one hour and a maximum of four hours per day. Rates are reasonable.
Chores include leaf raking, washing windows, scrubbing porches, weeding flower beds, washing cars, cleaning out garages and basements, fall yard work and other jobs.
Work will not be taken that could jeopardize the players’ safety.
For pricing information and to schedule work, email the boys soccer booster team by contacting Blaine at krblai@aol.com.
Refer to “Working For Wyatt” scheduling. A response will be given within 24 hours.
Every effort will be made to meet the homeowner’s or business owner’s scheduling needs, allowing for the boys team and school demands.
Seventy-five percent of funds earned are guaranteed to be given to Wyatt’s family.
The balance will offset program expenses such as work shirts, flyers and team recognition of extraordinary family fundraising efforts.
Checks may be made payable to: NWLehigh Boys Soccer Booster Club.
