Big prizes to be offered at St. Andrew’s tricky tray event

Area residents are invited to visit St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Sept. 24 when the congregation will be hosting a tricky tray fundraiser. This is the sixth annual event for the church.

Doors will open 11 a.m., and the drawing of winning tickets will be 5 p.m.

Children are welcome. The hall is handicapped accessible.

A sampling of the prizes includes a smart TV, four Walt Disney hopper passes and a State Theatre dinner and show package, as well as gift cards for area hotels, restaurants and businesses and an appealing variety of themed gift baskets.

The church is located at 1900 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Allentown. It is on the border between Allentown and Bethlehem, two blocks south of Catasauqua Road. Turn from Pennsylvania Avenue onto Taft Street to enter the parking lot.

Calvary Wesleyan Church, 1414 Pennsylvania Ave., Bethlehem, starts Club JAM-Jesus And Me, a free faith-based program. Children ages 2 years through sixth grade meet 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning this week.

Using multi-media, kids learn Bible stories, scripture and songs and learn how to apply biblical truths to their every day through fun games and activities.

During Club JAM, the church also has a parent group, parentCONNECT, which meets at the same time, where they learn how to apply biblical principles that can help strengthen family relationships.
