Beverly Ann Griffith
Beverly Ann (Snyder) Griffith, 68, of Coplay, died Sept. 4, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
The loving wife of R. Bruce Griffith, the couple was married 49 years.
Born Feb. 1, 1948, in Ebensburg, Cambria County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Bruce and Mary Evelyn (Piercy) Snyder.
While in high school, she was a cheerleader, and served as church organist at the United Church of Christ, Ebensburg, as well as high school graduations.
She was a sales representative at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, Whitehall, for 10 years before retiring.
Prior to that, she was a victim’s advocate for the Crime Victims Council, Allentown.
Through her advocacy efforts, Lehigh County dedicated “The Tree of Life Memorial Grove” off Cedar Crest Boulevard.
She was a teacher’s aide at Lehigh County Vo-Tech, and worked for American Express in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
In 1995, she was honored by former President Bill Clinton for her letter of support advocating for victim’s rights and the National Crime Victim’s Rights Week.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Jeffery S. and his wife, Lisa, of Bethlehem, Gregory J. and his wife, Marcia, of Macungie; sisters Connie L. Campbell and her husband, Darwin, and Patricia K. Snyder, all of Libertytown, Md.; grandchildren Kayla, Taylor, Braden and Dylan.
She was predeceased by a brother, Dr. David Bruce Snyder.
