There will be a back-to-school carnival presented by Parkland High School Student Council 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 17.

The carnival will take place, rain or shine, in the high school parking lot.

There will be animals from The Sanctury at Haafsville, a dunk booth, face painting, toilet paper toss, laundry basket catch, cake walk an inflatable obstacle course and a duck pond.

Elsa and Anna will make guest appearances, and there will be snow cones, french fries, pierogies and funnel cake.

Everyone is invited to enjoy this day of family fun.

The second annual alumni turkey trot 5K will take place 9 a.m. Nov. 25 at the high school.

There also will be a kids Wild turkey sprint.
