Irene R. Steiner, 93, of Whitehall, died peacefully Sept. 3, 2016 in Whitehall Manor, Whitehall.

She and her husband William E. Steiner were married 57 years at the time of his death in 2004.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Rose (Bienthes) Plusar.

A member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, she served as a vice president of the former Women of St. Elizabeth.

A leasing agent for Helfrich Springs Apartments for more than 20 years until retiring, she previously worked as a saleswoman at Hess’s.

She loved to care for her family and shop at the mall.

A very dedicated and strong women, she watched over her son more than 58 years until her illness.

She was a very patient, kind and generous woman.

Her survivors include a sonWilliam E. Jr. of Catasauqua; daughter Judith R. Moser and her husband, Ronald, of Allentown; grandchildren Tiffany Gilbert and her husband, Brian; Tyson Moser and his wife, Jill; great-grandsons Zachary and Luke Gilbert, and Tyson Moser Jr.; sister Rose Marie Lang of Macungie; and many nieces, nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by granddaughter Shawn Zdancewicz and her husband, Paul; sisters Helen Uherchik, Florence Lukow and Mary Cerulli; and brother Frank Plusar

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father John S. Pendzick 10 a.m. Sept. 9 in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall.

Her viewing will be 9-9:45 a.m. in the church foyer.

Interment will follow in Laurel Cemetery, Whitehall.
