Hokendauqua: Woman’s Club plans Sept. 12 meeting
The Woman’s Club of Whitehall Township’s first meeting of the new club year will be 7 p.m. Sept. 12. Meetings take place at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road.
Members are reminded the club is collecting donations for the food bank and books for Cops ‘n’ Kids as well as the women’s shelter.
The meeting is open to women interested in potential membership.

At Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, there will be a Path of Grief program led by Sylvia Havlish, bereavement counselor coordinator of Bereavement Ministries for Lutheran Congregations Services, 2-3 p.m. Sept. 18.

Hokendauqua Park & Playground (HPPA) basketball registration for boys and girls will be held at the Hokey Park pavilion 6-8 p.m. on the following days: Sept. 22, Sept. 28 and Oct. 7.
Please note the location change.

When signing up, bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate, health insurance and contact information including phone numbers and email address.

As a reminder, two upcoming Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative community meals are scheduled at churches in Hokendauqua.
Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 Seventh St., will hold the 4:30-7 p.m. meal Sept. 20.
Then 4:30-7 p.m. Oct. 18, First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, 3005 S. Front St., will be the host.
There is no charge for the meal.
