• George Wolf Elementary School meet the teacher night for grades 1-5, 6:30-8 p.m., at the school, 300 Allen St., Bath. On this night from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the PTA book fair will take place.

• Friends of the Library meeting, 10 a.m., in the community room at Whitehall Township Public Library, 3700 Mechanicsville Road. The group meets the second Friday of each month.
• Basket social and flea market, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1904 Main St., Northampton. The event continues 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 10. Drawings will be held 3:30 p.m. Sept. 10. You need not be present to win.

• American Revolutionary War re-enactment and encampment, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., at the George Taylor House (GTH), Lehigh and Poplar streets, Catasauqua. In addition, the Biery’s Port blacksmiths will set up their forge. The GTH also will be open for tours.
• Northampton Street Fair (rain or shine), 10 a.m.-5 p.m., on Main Street, from 18th Street to 21st Street. The event is sponsored by Northampton Area Chamber of Commerce.

• Marc’s Auto’s 25 years in business celebration, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at North Catasauqua Park, 701 Grove St. Flirting with the Mob will provide entertainment. There will be hot dogs and soft drinks. North Catasauqua Fire Department also will be there giving out ice cream.

• St. John’s Friendly Fifties 25th anniversary meeting, 1 p.m., in the social hall of the church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton. The rosary will be prayed 11:30 a.m. in the church. A luncheon will be served after the meeting.

• Cub Scout Pack 40 sign-ups, 6:45 p.m., in the social hall of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Kreidersville. Every new boy who signs up will receive a free fishing rod and reel and will be invited to a fishing event at Cub Scout camp Oct. 1. Meetings are held 6:45-8 p.m. every Tuesday. This is a family-oriented program for boys in first through fifth grades. Parental involvement is a must. • Meet the teacher night, 5:45-8 p.m., at Sheckler Elementary School, 251 N. 14th St., Catasauqua. There will be two sessions: 6-6:40 p.m. for grades 1-4 and morning kindergarten and 6:50-7:30 p.m. for grades 1-4 and afternoon kindergarten. All children must be supervised during the evening. During this time, there will be a Scholastic book fair in the cafe.
