Donald R. Eisenhard, 80, of Emmaus, died at home Aug. 31, 2016. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Brey) Eisenhard. The couple would have celebrated 62 years of marriage Sept. 25. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Howard and Cecelia (Bamer) Eisenhard.

He was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1954.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Emmaus and was a Naval veteran.

He worked at the former Exide Battery, Allentown, for 31 years, retiring in 1989.

He was a lifetime member of Fire Co. #1, Emmaus, a member of the 4th Alarmers and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.

He is survived by his wife; sons, David and his wife Brenda, of Macungie and Neil and his wife Darla, of Blandon; siblings, Barbara Roksewicz, of Hellertown, Lorraine and her husband Frank Hawk, of Allentown and Larry and his wife Ellie, of Emmaus; goddaughter, Deborah Nicoson.
