This Sunday, Sept. 4, visit St. John the Baptist Church, Ruch and Chestnut streets, for its annual church picnic noon-9 p.m.
Bring your lawn chairs to hang out and listen to the fantastic musical entertainment. Enjoy delicious food fare, too.
There are games for the kids, and you are certain to run into familiar faces!

On that note, please be aware of children walking to the bus stops again. Account for the increased traffic of buses and cars dropping students off at school. Remember to give yourself extra time in the morning.

Best of luck to Whitehall Zephyrs varsity football team, who will travel to Emmaus Sept. 2 to take on the Green Hornets. Support the Zephyrs while enjoying some great football action and fabulous Marching Zephyr Band entertainment.

A yard sale will be held at the Stiles playground, Fourth Avenue and Chestnut Street, Oct. 1. The sale will begin 8 a.m. and go until 1 p.m.
If you would like to rent a 10-foot-by-10-foot space to sell your items, you can do so for a fee. Set-up will start 6 a.m. the day of the sale.
