Catasauqua Garden Club will hold its next meeting 1 p.m. Sept. 7 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.
Come out and review some of the ABCs of container gardening with Linc Coffin, a Pennsylvania master gardener. Container gardening is limited only by the size of the container and your imagination.
All items for judging should be in place early, so the meeting can start promptly.
All garden-friendly folks are welcome!

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, will hold its applefest and craft fair 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 10.
There are children’s games, crafts, food, a bake sale and music by deejay Helmut Fried.

At 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sept. 10, the George Taylor House (GTH) will be having an American Revolutionary War re-enactment and encampment. The 3rd Revolutionary War re-enactors portray the Northampton County Militia conducting camp life, assembly and drill of the troops.
George Taylor himself will lead the troops into a re-enactment of a battle.
In addition, the Biery’s Port blacksmiths will set up their forge.
The GTH also will be open for tours.
