Jean Carol Christman, 84, of Macungie, died Aug. 19, 2016, in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth R. Christman. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Samuel L. and Nellie M. (Croft) Eastburn.
After graduation from Reading High School she worked as a secretary for Joe Cam Auto Sales and then Consumer Credit Equipment Corporation, both in Reading. She then took the position of supervisor of accounts payable with General Battery, Reading, where she remained until her retirement in 1987 from Exide Battery to whom they had been sold.
She enjoyed word puzzles, reading, dancing and traveling. She and her husband traveled throughout the United States and all over the world.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Clark D. Renninger and his wife Marilyn, of Reading, Brad R. Renninger and his wife Rachael, of Robesonia; stepdaughter, Cathy J. Withers, of Breinigsville; grandchildren, Justin Renninger, of San Francisco, Calif., and Jaime and her husband Michael Watson, of Philadelphia. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald L. Eastburn.
