Edward A. Verbus, 48, of Allentown, died Aug. 22, 2016, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Uniontown, he was the son of Donald and Patricia A. (Murphy) Ludwig, of Allentown.

He worked for Allied Van Lines as a mover/packer.

He attended DeSales University and was a peacetime Navy veteran.

He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his niece Caitlin.

He is survived by his parents; sister, Joy L., of Alburtis; stepbrother, Donald Ludwig, Jr. and his wife Marilyn L., of Allentown; stepsisters, Tammy Mackie, of Breinigsville and Jane and her husband Rob Touchtone, of Bethlehem; brother-in-law, George Seligman, of Allentown; aunts, uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made in his memory to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St., Allentown, 18103.
