Dale A. Bortz, 62, died Aug. 21, 2016. He was the husband of Karen (Harakal) Bortz. He was the son of Howard and Shirley Bortz.

He grew up in Emmaus and graduated from Emmaus High School, Class of 1971.

He was employed at Dunbar Armored. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed repairing antique radios and watching the N.Y. Giants.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer and her husband Patrick; sisters, Sharon Kleintop, Kathy, Susan Anthony and their families; in-laws, Elizabeth and Raul Gomez; stepchildren, Holly Seyler and Ricky Schlegel and their families; five nieces and nephews and two step-grandchildren that lovingly called him “Uncle Bucky.”

Contributions may be made to St. John’s U.C.C. Church, 349 N. 4th St., Emmaus, 18049.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Boyko Funeral Home, Allentown.
