By the time my column is read, we will be less than a week away from the first day of school.
I’m already feeling the effects of preparing to send my youngest on the bus for the first time – and yes, I’m a nervous wreck. But I have confidence that along with all the other kindergarten parents we can get through this.
The first day of school for students in grades kindergarten, sixth and ninth is Aug. 29. All students report Aug. 30. Please keep in mind, all Salisbury Township School District schools will be closed Sept. 2 through 5 for the Labor Day holiday.
There will be a curriculum and technology meeting at the administration building 7 p.m. Aug. 29.
There will be an operations committee meeting 7 p.m. Sept. 7 in the administration building.
Salisbury Middle School will hold this back to school open house 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 8.
The Harry S Truman Elementary School PTO will hold a PTO Back to School Dinner and Dance 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 9. Look for more information to be sent home with your children.
The Franko Farm yard waste drop-off site will be open 8 a.m to 1 p.m. Aug. 23 and 27.
