Kathryn R. Rauch, 97, of Upper Milford Township, died Aug. 22, 2016, in her home. She was the wife of the late Claude F. Rauch, who died Jan. 7, 2008. Born in Vera Cruz, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Kline) Engelman.

She worked at several sewing factories and later was a secretary at Lehigh Safety Shoes Co.

She was a life member of Vera Cruz Evangelical Church, where she taught Sunday school for 65 years and was very active in church activities.

She helped start the Vera Cruz Community Association in the 1950s and was active for many years; helped start the Ladies Auxiliary of the Vera Cruz Fire Company and was a life long member. She was also a member of the Vera Cruz Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Morris; son, Daniel and his wife Gail; brother, James Engelman and his wife Sandra; sisters, Martha and her husband Robert Conrad, Ruth Schantz and Mary and her husband Paul Batman; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Ronald, Jesse and Claude and sisters, Dorothy Walbert, Ruby Schaeffer and Evelyn Tworkoski.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 26 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Aug. 26 at the funeral home.
