John M. Spearman, 61, of Alburtis, died Aug. 15, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Lori A. (Engleman) Spearman. Born in Houston, Texas, he was the son of the late Elbert and Pauline (Rivera) Spearman.

He served in the Air Force for six years and later worked as a technician for Verizon for many years.

He enjoyed grilling, vacationing at the shore with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife; children, Sonny Jay, Jessie Brian, Jon Cody, Cassie Nacole Lam, and Corey Robert; many grandchildren; stepdaughter, Janet Wisser.

Contributions may be made to the funeral home for the Help Emmitt Spearman Fight Neuroblastoma Cancer Fund.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 24 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Aug. 24 in the funeral home.
