Joelene Adele Lutzko

Joelene Adele Lutzko, 74, of Lower Macungie Township, died Aug. 19, 2016, peacefully in her home. She was the wife of John H. Lutzko for 54 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Merritt and Ruth (Romig) Weaver.

She was a secretary at William Allen High School, Lighting & Fixture Supply Co. and Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, all of Allentown.

She was an avid piano player and played the violin in the Central Junior High School and Allentown High School orchestras.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown and a volunteer in her church office for 34 years. She was very active in her church and a member of the bell choir.

She graduated from Allentown High School, Class of 1959.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Diane and her husband Mark Woodring, Melissa and her husband Jim Smith; son, John E., Sr.; grandchildren, John E. Jr. and James, Jordan Szukics, Jacob Smith, Nicholas Shelly and Jarren Smith. She was predeceased by a grandson, Jason John Smith; sisters, Joyce Hawk and Jean Fahringer; brother, Richard Weaver.

Contributions may be made to the church.

Services will be held noon Aug. 24 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 36 S. 8th St., Allentown. A viewing will be held 11 a.m. to noon in the church. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
