Charles H. Parsons, 89, of Emmaus, formerly of Durham, Bucks County, died Aug. 15, 2016, at his home. He was the husband of Hilda M. Parsons. They were married 68 years. Born in New York City, he was the son of Charles and Ruth (Beck) Parsons.
He worked as a product development technician in the paper and polymer chemical industry for 45 years.
He as a member of Durham Lutheran Church, Spring Creek Rod and Gun Club where he served on the board, Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club and the Suits Us Hunting Club.
An avid outdoorsman, he hunted throughout the United States but was most proud of his trophies obtained on an African safari.
He was an excellent dancer and enjoyed traveling with his wife throughout the U.S. to attend various Polka festivals.
He is survived by his wife; son, John, of Emmaus; daughter, Donna and her husband James Lichtenwalner, of Allentown; grandchildren, Nathan Lichtenwalner, of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., Jenna Burr, of Lincoln University; great-grandchildren, Miller Lichtenwalner, Noa Lichtenwalner, William Burr and Vienna Burr. He was predeceased by a brother Robert and sisters, Gloria Viola and Jean Kelly.
Memorial contributions may be made to St Luke’s Hospice, Development Office, 801 Ostrum St., Bethlehem.
