Schneck among scholarship winners

Lehigh Valley Road Runners offer four separate scholarships to eligible students planning to continue their education at the college level after graduating.

The Ed Thompson/Nicole Reinhart Memorial Scholarship is available to eligible students of Emmaus High School who run track or cross country.

The LVRR Scholarship is available to eligible students within Lehigh and Northampton counties who run track or cross country.

The LVRR Club Scholarship is available to eligible children of LVRR members in good standing.

The 2016 scholarship recipients were recently announced:

Ed Thompson Memorial Scholarship ($2000)

Ryan Paradise – Ryan will be attending Lehigh University to study Engineering.

Nicole Reinhart Memorial Scholarship (($2000)

No recipient in 2016.

LVRR Club Scholarship ($2000)

Devon Fogel (Notre Dame Green Pond) – Devon will be attending Moravian College to become a physical therapist.

Lauren Drabenstott (William Allen) – Lauren will be attending New York University and is considering studying environmental science.

Brooke Schaffer (Emmaus) – Brooke will be attending Penn State University to study hospitality management.

LVRR Scholarship ($4000)

Kevin Lapsansky (Easton) – Kevin will be attending Temple University to study finance.

Calvin Schneck (Whitehall) – Calvin will be attending Lafayette College and study mechanical engineering.

Katie Bacher (Emmaus) – Katie will be attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she will study electrical engineering and computer science.

Mikayla Stoudt (Parkland) – Mikayla will be attending East Carolina University and will be studying exercise science and minoring in Spanish.
