Ryan J. Noon of Kutztown is among more than 175 students who presented their freshman innovation project at Western New England University College of Engineering’s 2016 Emerging Expo.

Noon’s project, “Medtree: Universal Access System for Hospitals,” won first place honors at this year’s event.

Freshman product innovation projects allow students to gain experience and knowledge at an early stage of their education with innovation and design of a new product.

It helps students to better understand what they can expect during the next few years as an engineering student at Western New England University and gives them a chance to showcase their talents at the very beginning of their educational journey.
