Margaret H. Gordon, 69, of Breinigsville, died July 24, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband Henry G. “Harry” Gordon were married 49 years this past April.

Born in Newark, N.J. she was a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Helen (Wachter) Heffner.

She graduated from Kutztown University and received her Master’s degree from Rutgers University.

She was a librarian at Allentown Public Library for 18 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Monica, wife of Fred Schmoyer, of Brighton, Colo., Margaret Ann, wife of Brad Smith, of Cumberland, Maine, and Mary “Marie” Gordon at home; son Peter and wife Karen Hayes of Salem, Mass.; sisters Ann, wife of Joseph Palm of Friendswood, Texas, Elizabeth, wife of Richard Needham of Bensalem; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
