As a reminder, storytime with Miss Veronica will be 12:30 p.m. Aug. 11 and 25. All ages are welcome to attend, and no preregistration is necessary.

Final tally sheets for the summer reading program are due Aug. 13. The kids have started to catch up to the adults in medals. Don’t forget to turn in your sheets and find out who won!

Save the date: Our annual Fun Fest celebration will be noon-3 p.m. Aug. 13. On the agenda are games, food and fun.
Summer reading program prize winners will be announced.
Special guests will be Allentown Parkettes gymnasts, who will perform for us 1 p.m. In case of rain, the Parkettes will perform in the borough building auditorium.
We also are hosting a yard sale, and tables are available. If you would like to reserve a table, contact the library.

Community Days is just around the corner. In addition to the table in the pavilion, the library will have a table for the Kids Zone noon-5 p.m. Aug. 27 and 28.
Anyone who would like to sign up to manage the table should call the library.

Scrabble night will be 5-7 p.m. Aug. 29. Stop by and try to stump our experts!

The library will resume regular hours Aug. 29. Hours will be 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Looking ahead to September, the library will have a Samuel Owens night, and we will be running a mum fundraiser with Hickory Grove Greenhouse, North Catasauqua.

Donations are now being accepted for our October book sale. All donations are tax deductible, and you will receive a thank you letter.
Accepted items are other books and DVDs
We do not accept VHS tapes, textbooks or encyclopedias. We also cannot accept items that have been damaged by smoke or are dirty, ripped or torn. .
If you have any items for the sale, drop them off during library hours.
