Auditons for the 2017 production of “Beauty and the Beast,” by the Catasauqua Area Showcase Theatre, will take place 1-8 p.m. Nov. 20, at Sheckler Elementary School. Director Bill Nothstein is seeking to fill roles in a very large cast for this musical production.

“ ‘Beauty and the Beast’ has a large cast and with this being our 25th Anniversary, we are going big!” he said. “We are looking to increase our adult membership and as always, we need men.”

Nothstein said there are roles for students as villagers and enchanted castle residents and that major and minor adult roles are available for current, returning and new members.

The organization will again be holding pierogie and apple dumpling sales. See a CAST member to order pierogies by Sept. 9 for orders to be picked up Sept. 20. Apple dumpling orders, due by Oct. 10, may be picked up Oct. 25. Details will follow.

Anyone interested in information about auditioning or becoming a CAST member or volunteer is invited to attend a membership meeting 7 p.m. Sept. 8 at Sheckler Elementary School.
