Emma Hunsicker

Emma Hunsicker, 92, of Emmaus, died Aug. 6, 2016, in her home. She was the wife of the late Norman Leroy Hunsicker, who died Feb. 17, 2000. Born in Moore Township, Northampton County, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Lagler) and Frank Faustner.

She retired from Stewart Sandwiches. Prior to that, she was employed in food service by the East Penn School District.

She was active in the Lutheran Church, serving on Altar Guild, Sunday and Bible School teacher, food distribution, greeter, Lutheran Church Women, preparing ARC dinners, flower delivery and driving church members to visit relatives in nursing homes.

She was a league bowler for many years and a faithful Phillies fan. She loved doing crafts and family members looked forward to her homemade kiffles. She loved gardening and traveling.

She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn, of Emmaus; son, Donald Faustner, of Woodridge, N.Y.; granddaughter, Emmakate Faustner, of Burlington, Vt.; sisters, Margaret Bickert and Helen Marsh, of Moore Twp.; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Faustner; granddog, Zoey; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Frank, Jr., William, Rudolph, John, Alfred, Joseph and Edwin; sisters, Hilda Ladick, Anna Yandrisovitz, Angela Mitchell, Carolyn Winch, Frances Spitko, Elsie Schaeffer and Rose Silvius.

Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 617 Main St., Hellertown, 18055.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Aug. 10, at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 10 in the funeral home.
