Carolyn C. Ellingson, 80, of Coopersburg, died July 27, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Bruce Ellingson for 58 years. Born in Abington, she was a daughter of the late Byron and Verletta (Hottel) Cassel.

For many years, she was a teacher of students who were gifted and talented. Her teaching career began in Wheaton, Ill., then in Lebanon and also the East Penn School District.

She was a pastor’s wife in the Bible Fellowship Churches in Finnesville, N.J. and in Lebanon. She was also a faithful Sunday School teacher. She was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Coopersburg.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Sharon and her husband James Larkin, of Chicago, Ill., Ruth Anne and her husband Andrew Ng, of Laurel, Md. and Sarah and her husband Timothy Peterman, of Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren; brother, Carl Cassel and his wife Charlene, of Whitehall.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
