Bethlehem’s Musikfest begins Aug. 5 and runs through Aug. 14. There are a large number of free performances you can watch, and the entertainment is always top-notch.

You also can buy delicious food and check out the crafts of many artists.

Remember to keep your eye on the sky in the evening Aug. 14 for the incredible fireworks display.

If you are looking for something fun to do Aug. 7, take a short drive, or walk, into Coplay and attend St. Peter Roman Catholic Church’s annual picnic and homecoming. The picnic, taking place on the church grounds at South Fifth and Coplay streets, starts noon and continues until 10 p.m.

Bring your lawn chair, hang out and enjoy wonderful entertainment, games and delicious food fare. You are sure to run into friends and neighbors and have a very enjoyable time.
