North Catasauqua: Committee keeps residents entertained and active
The final day of the summer crafts and whiffle ball program will be Aug. 5. The borough and the recreation committee have coordinated summer morning crafts and afternoon whiffle ball since school was out in June. The committee manages the refreshment stand, sponsors free summer concerts and coordinates volleyball and basketball leagues at the North Catasauqua William J. Albert Park.

Crafters, food and flea market vendors, community organizations and businesses are being sought for the 10th annual Best of North Catasauqua Autumnfest & Car Show, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 9, at the North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.
Spaces measuring 10 feet by 10 feet will be available. For information or to get on the mailing list for an entry form, email NCataCentennial@aol.com.

Lighted snowflake ornaments are still available for sponsorship for this year’s holiday season.
Individuals, families, organizations or businesses can sponsor a holiday snowflake that adorns the streets of North Catasauqua during the holidays. A plastic plaque will be attached to the snowflake with the name of the sponsor.

The North Catasauqua We Sing Community Chorus is selling limited-edition wooden replicas of the Catasauqua Rough Rider mascot, made by the Cat’s Meow keepsake company. The Catasauqua Rough Rider mascot wooden replica by the Cat’s Meow company is a wooden image of the beloved mascot in color with the words “Catasauqua Rough Riders” on the front and Catasauqua High School alma mater on the back.
