Howard R. Truitt, 62, of Mertztown, died on July 17, 2016.

Born in Dover, Del., he was a son of the late Williams F. and Catherine M. (McCoy) Truitt.

He worked for Packaging Corp. of America, Trexlertown.

A member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ, Heidelberg Township, he served on the consistory.

The first Tuesday of every month, he would serve at the Lehigh County Conference of Churches Soup Kitchen, Allentown, and was involved in many more organizations.

He enjoyed singing and performed with the group “Jack and Friends” around the area.

He also loved riding motorcycles and unicycles.

His survivors include daughters Kim J. and partner, William Domitrovitsch, of Allentown, Tracy A., wife of Zachary Boyer, of Hamburg; brother Williams F., Jr. of Alburtis; sister Harriett Lambert of Germansville; and grandchildren Kayla Swartley and Kearra Boyer.
