Paul W. Wotring

Paul W. Wotring, 89, of Lake Alfred, Fla., formerly of Schnecksville, died July 16, 2016, in his home.

He was the husband of Shirley F. (Tyndal) Wotring.

Born Nov. 23, 1926, in New Tripoli, he was the son of the late Clarence M. Wotring and Ida M. (Ulrich) Wotring Schneck.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II earning the rank of sergeant.

A truck driver for East Penn Trucking, Inc. Lehighton for 32 years, he retired in 2012.

Prior to that, he worked for the former PCM Trucking, Orefield.

He was a member of the Allen O. Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington, and Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

In addition to his wife, She is suvived by children Glenn P., address unknown, Eileen M. Breininger of Neffs, Thomas W. of Northampton; stepchildren Dennis G. Ziegler of Walnutport, James Rowe, Russell Rowe, Sherri Mathis, all of Haines City, Fla., Theresa Higgins of Lake Alfred, William Rowe of Auburndale, Fla.; sister Betty M. Snyder of Orefield; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son Larry P.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. July 21 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Kris P. Snyder-Samuelson officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment with military honors will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
