Howard L. Southard, 93, of Country Meadows, Upper Macungie Township, died July 2, 2016, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He and his wife, Jean L. (Stanley), celebrated their 63rd anniversary.

Born in Oneonta N.Y., one of four sons, he was a son of the late Lou E. and Bethel I. (Anderson) Southard.

An Army veteran of World War II, he earned the rank of technical sergeant and spent his career in finance at IBM.

He was an active member of Faith Church, Allentown.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Renee; son, the Rev. Mark S. and his wife, Jeanne; grandchildren Isaac P., Chelsea R.; and a brother, Russell A.
