Evelyn A. Weisner, 98, formerly of Kempton, died July 8, 2016, in Laurel Living Center, Hamburg.

Her husband, Alton L. Weisner, died in 2006.

Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ida (Scheetz) Hamm.

A cook for Kutztown Area School District’s former Albany Elementary School for 28 years, she retired in 1986.

A member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Stony Run, she formerly sang with the church choir.

Her survivors include daughter-in-law Doris H. (Smith Weisner), wife of Russell H. Miller of Kempton; sister Joyce I. Baer of Whitehall; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son Richard A. Weisner and siblings Vera Fink, Mildred R. Wessner, Victor J., Wilmer A. and Clifford S. Hamm.
