Elizabeth Fellin
Elizabeth Fellin, 95, of Allentown, died July 7, 2016, in her home.
She was the wife of the late Fred A. Fellin.
Born in Hazleton, Luzerne County, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elona (Sulek) Skurka.
She and her late husband owned and operated the former Fellin’s Store, Sheppton, for many years before retiring.
Prior to that, she worked for the former College Casuals, Sheppton, and Bell Telephone, Hazleton.
A member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, she was a former member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Sheppton, where she was actively involved in the sodality.
Her survivors include children Mary T. Johnstone and her husband, Edward, with whom she resided, Dr. Frederick M. Fellin and his wife, Barbara, of Lower Gwynedd, James P. Fellin and his wife, Karen, of Macungie; and grandchildren Emily, Christine, Kate, Rachael, Matt and Jessica.
She was predeceased by brothers Joseph, Lawrence and Edward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. July 22 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield.
Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday in the church.
A private interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Sheppton, at a later date.
