Board OKs various salaries
The Parkland School Board has approved salaries for administrators for the 2016-17 year.
Superintendent Richard Sniscak will receive $173,106; assistant superintendent Dr. Rod Troutman, $154,278; and director of business administration John Vignone, $153,420.
Salaries for 59 administrators in the Act 93 group were also approved at the June 28 meeting.
These include $136,901 for the assistant to superintendent for operations and $130,250 for the high school principal.
Other principals’ salaries range from $99,425 to $121,368.
Seven school psychologists are listed with salaries from $63,550 to $95,028.
Other supervisors include director of food services, $84,050; athletic director, $99,992; information technology supervisor, $99,809; coordinator of data assessment, $95,011; coordinator of health services, $97,375; and, director of visual and performing arts, $94,034.
The assistant director of school services for transportation and safety receives $105,414; the transportation coordinator, $77,183; and the garage foreman, $65,600.
The board also approved salaries for auxiliary personnel.
Solicitor Steve Miller receives a $5,000 per year retainer plus a $165 hourly rate.
The medical director is paid $5,000 per year; physicians and examining dentists, $74.98 per hour; and nurse practitioners, $52.53 per hour.
Individuals who sell tickets at high school football and basketball games are paid $51.82 for each event.
Other personnel at football games include clock operator and announcer, $66.96 each and cameraman, $70.48.
The rate for crossing guards is $17.71 per day.
