Whitehall library: July is filled with library programs for children, adults
Our summer reading program continues with some “hot” July programs.
Teen game night: 5 p.m. July 8. This event is for kids in grades 6-12.
Aikido Master with David Nemeroff: 1:30 p.m. July 12. In this class, you will learn the various aspects of martial arts.
Good Shepherd - active sports injury prevention: 6 p.m. July 12. In this class, you will learn how to do gentle stretching, warm-ups and warm-downs to prevent sports injury.
B-Safe: Community Partners 4 Kids: 1 p.m. July 13. This program is to educate parents and children about potential dangers and how to avoid them.
Adult library bingo: 6 p.m. July 21. Study up on book titles and authors for this fun game of library bingo for adults. We will have prizes for all the games and a grand-prize winner, too!
Kids/Teens Connect - Crazy Olympics at the Library: 10 a.m. July 23
Athletic Side of Sweden from the Swedish Museum of Philadelphia - For the Love of Sports: 6:30 p.m. July 26
AARP presentation: 6 p.m. July 28 in the community room. This event is to help prepare family members to think about the possibility of caring for loved ones in the future in their homes.
Finale Day: 11 a.m. Aug. 13. This will be a reading celebration for our summer reading program.

The third Monday open mic and jam night will be 6:30 p.m. July 18 with Sal Ritz (acoustic guitarist and vocalist) of the Ritz Band.
Entertainers interested in performing three songs or a 15-minute set are asked to sign up just before 6:30. Musicians, singers, poets, comedians, actors, writers, storytellers, etc., can come show off their stuff. We also welcome you to just come and be part of the audience.

If you have any new or gently used children’s books, please donate them to the library before Aug. 2. We will have a children’s book sale 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Aug. 4 in the community room.
Everyone is welcome to come in and buy books!
