Richard C. Wetzel, 82, of Kunkletown, died July 1, 2016, in ManorCare Health Services, Easton.

He and his wife JoAnn (Faust) Wetzel were married 57 years last Feb. 14.

Born July 31, 1933, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Russell E. and Dorothy (Yoder) Wetzel.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era earning the rank of corporal.

He was a machine operator at Packaging Corporation of America, Trexlertown, for 40 years before retiring.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter Deborah A. Messinger and her husband, Terry, of Whitehall; son Randy S. and his wife, Kim, of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.; sister Marilyn Devlin of Pittsburgh; and grandchildren, Samantha, William and Katie.
