Dorothy J. Schlauch, 87, of Heidelberg Township, died June 29, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of the late Rowland G. Schlauch Jr.

Born Oct. 11, 1928, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Hoover) Gottshall.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township,where she was a former member of the Handbell Choir and Women of Faith.

She was a member of the Rural Preservation Association of Northwestern Lehigh County.

She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, sewing, cooking and was an avid, creative artist.

Her survivors include daughters Barbara A. Steiner and her husband, Joseph, of Bernardsville, N.J., Audrey J. Berkheiser of Heidelberg Township, and Jane E. Duddek and her husband, John. of New Tripoli; sister Adele Diefenderfer of Reading; seven grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

She was predeceased by a sister, Elinore Price.
