Salisbury Falcon Football Golf Classic July 16

The Salisbury Falcon Football Classic will tee off 1:30 p.m. July 16 at Wedgewood Golf Course, Coopersburg.

This annual fundraiser benefits the athletes in a variety of ways to help advance the Salisbury football program.

If you are missing all the fun things that went on this past school year, log on to the Western Salisbury Elementary website to view all the pictures posted. Pictures include the fifth grade promotion ceremony, first grade’s Animals on Parade and the last leadership gathering.

The Carmike Promenade 16 summer kid series continues 10 a.m. every Wednesday and Thursday. Patrons receive admission, a popcorn and small drink for a small fee. The movie “Kung Fu Panda 2” will be shown July 6 and 7, “Monsters vs. Aliens” will be on the screen July 13 and 14.

There will be summer library hours 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday in July at the high school. Books will be available for all ages.

A school board meeting is scheduled 7:30 p.m. July 13 in the administration building if needed. Visit the district website for updates at www.stsd.org.

Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church will continue the summer concert series with the Celtic Martins 7:30 p.m. July 19. Traditional Celtic music will be played along with some Irish step dancing if the weather permits. The concert is free but an offering will be collected.

The Devonshire drop-off center is open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 16 and 19. The days of operation are the first and third Tuesday and Saturday of the month. Summer evening hours are 3 to 6 p.m. July 11 and 14.
