Mary Kochenash, 97, of Whitehall, died June 23, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Walter “Eddie” Kochenash.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Stefan and Eva (Halulko) Supp.

She worked at a pants factory in Egypt. She operated the family business, the former Eddie’s Luncheonette in Egypt.

She was active in her church, running bingo events, and was a pierogie maker for years.

She was the former cook at, and had been in charge of, many banquets at the Egypt Fire Hall, Whitehall.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean N. and her husband Ronald Porotsky of Whitehall and Marilyn J. Noll of Lansdale; four grandchildren, Jan and her husband Scott Bartman, Jason Noll, Jill Porotsky and Kristen and her husband Michael Leuthe; and six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler and Alexa Bartman and Jack, Sean and Gianna Leuthe.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Virginia Kochenash; a sister, Anna; two brothers, Andrew and Michael; and a son-in-law, John Noll.
