Country Meadows retirement community, 410 Krocks Road, Upper Macungie, will lower its current American flag, under the watchful eye of Boy Scouts, members of the VFW and its veteran residents at 11 a.m. July 1.

The flag will be lowered under the leadership of retired Maj. Nathan Kline.

A new flag that previously flew over the Capitol then will be raised.

Congressman Charlie Dent , R-15th, is expected to attend.
