Salisbury Township is hosting a trip to Longwood Gardens and QVC tour Dec. 3. The ticket includes a tour of QVC, lunch at Mendenhall Inn and an opportunity to explore Longwood Gardens. The ticket is payable by cash, check or money order at time of registration. Deadline to register is Oct. 7 at the township building. Call 610-797-4000 for more information.

The Salisbury High School library will be open 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 6 with access to books for all age groups.

The Carmike Promenade 16 continues its summer kids series 10 a.m. every Monday and Thursday during the summer. One price includes admission, popcorn and a drink. “Kung Fu Panda 2” will be shown July 4 and 7 and “Monsters vs. Aliens” will be shown July 11 and 14.

The Franko Farm yard waste drop off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 9 and 12. Summer evening hours have also started and the site will also be open 3 to 6 p.m. July 7, 18 and 21.
