VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

·Da Vinci Science Center, Allentown is looking for exhibit floor volunteers. Volunteers will run science demonstrations at Inquiry Island, facilitate marine tank activities and assist on the exhibit floor.

These volunteers should enjoy working with people and have an interest in learning how to engage groups and families in science experiments.

·Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network, Allentown, is recruiting volunteers for the gift shop to complete sales, restock and straighten merchandise and assist customers.

Volunteers also are needed to assist with community entry outings for inpatients and outpatients.

Volunteers must to be able to walk distances and feel comfortable providing supervision of patients with physical and cognitive impairments.

·Miller-Keystone Blood Center, Bethlehem is looking for canteen attendants at the Allentown site, 1255 S. Cedar Crest Blvd, Suite 1300, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday.

Canteen attendants monitor blood donors after their donations, ensure donors are feeling well before leaving the site and serve drinks and snacks to donors. Orientations will be offered.

Sacred Heart Home Care And Hospice, Allentown needs volunteers to help bereaved and grieving children ages 8-16 at Camp Evergreen 5 p.m. July 29 to noon July 31.

The weekend overnight camp, at Camp Fowler, Orefield, assists children in coping with their loss by using arts and crafts, games and songs.
