HEIDELBERG TWP H.A.R.P. seniors to have indoor picnic on July 5
Well worth it! According to Heidelberg Church Soup Kitchen Coordinator Linda Hausamann, 165 hot meals were served recently to the hungry and homeless at the Allentown Soup Kitchen.
The meal consisted of salmon patties, rice, tossed salad, rolls, peaches and desserts.
Special thanks to the volunteers of the day: Pastor Karen Yonney, Sheri Hausman, Eleanor and Ron Klevenhagen, Shirley Boger, Matthew Loch, Linda Hausamann and Howard Truitt.
“This is a rewarding experience to help the less fortunate,” Hausamann said. “The soup kitchen is also now accepting warm weather clothing.”
To those of you who are interested in helping at the soup kitchen or have summer clothing to donate, call Linda at 610-767-5282 or Howard at 610-682-4831.
