Coplay library: Baby, toddler fundraiser going on now

The library is still holding its baby drive fundraiser, where we are accepting donations of baby and toddler items to be donated to charity.

Items must be new and unused and can be dropped off anytime during library hours.

Also throughout June, we will be celebrating Father’s Day with a special display devoted to the fathers of our country - the presidents. We hope you enjoy it!

Summer reading program sign-ups will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June 18. Stop in and be among the first to sign up.

We have many programs planned.

Munchkin Music with Miss Deb, 1 p.m. June 22. You also will be making your very own Olympic torch.

Olympic Beginnings with Miss Veronica, 3:30 p.m. June 23

Circle of Motion, 3:30 p.m. June 30

We will be concentrating on the summer Olympics during the entire reading program. Join us through the summer with Olympic trivia, languages, games and quizzes guaranteed to test your mind.

As part of the program, we will be having a competition of kids versus adults to see who reads the most. We will be tracking minutes read for everyone all summer. Who do you think will win?

The library will begin summer hours June 20. Hours will be noon-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.

Our annual Fun Fest will be held noon-3 p.m. Aug. 13. In addition to the usual food, fun and games, we will be having a yard sale. Plus, a special mystery entertainer will be there.

If anyone is interested in having a table, contact the library.

Are you traveling this summer? If you are, please send a postcard to the library, and we will display it on our walls. We would love to hear from you.

The library is now accepting donations for our October book sale. We no longer accept VHS tapes, encyclopedias or textbooks, but we welcome puzzles, books and DVDs.

Your donations are tax deductible, and you will receive a thank you letter for your records.

You may drop off donations anytime during library hours.
