Northampton: Community yard sale to be held June 11

A community yard sale is set for June 11. Rain date is June 12.

Quota Club will hold its annual event 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Canal Park.

The group is accepting donations of items to sell.

Food and beverages will be available.

Northampton Area Historical Society will be holding a yard sale 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Siegfried Station, Route 329.

A car wash and bake sale will be held 9 a.m.-2 p.m. June 11 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 19th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

All proceeds benefit the church’s youth ministry.

Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, 1324 Newport Ave., will have its annual church festival noon-7 p.m. June 12 on the church grounds.

Food will include ethnic favorites like pierogies, longos (fried bread dough), cabbage and noodles, and Vietnamese egg rolls. There also will be hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage sandwiches, turkey barbecues, funnel cakes, french fries, pizza, ice cream, sno-cones, corn on the cob and assorted drinks.

A bake sale will take place in the church social hall.

Bingo will be held in the school auditorium.

Children’s games also will be played.

There will be a cash raffle and a Chinese auction.

Deejay Liz Flynn will entertain 12:30-3 p.m. Josef Kroboth Orchestra will perform 3:30-7 p.m.

St. John’s Friendly Fifties will meet 1 p.m. June 13 in the church’s social hall, 1343 Newport Ave.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will hold its picnic noon June 15 at Municipal Park, Laubach Avenue and Smith Lane.

Those members planning to attend must have a ticket and are asked to bring a dessert.

Northampton Area High School’s Class of 2011 will hold its reunion 5-10 p.m. June 18 at Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club, Route 329.
