A resident is complaining about wildlife from a bird sanctuary created at Willow Lane and Sauerkraut Lane at Penn’s Meadow. Voles, rabbits and toads have been damaging the property. The resident said the sanctuary has become unsightly and has a large amount of ragweed which affects allergies. The commissioners will check into this.

A resident appeared before the commissioners to complain about a neighbor’s dog. The resident said the pit bull is not “contained” and able to leave its yard. This has created some fear not knowing what the dog may do. The resident is asking the township to make it clear on what it means to be “contained.”

A survey will be conducted at Church Lane Park to establish the boundary line. This survey will not exceed $1,500.

The swimming pool had a successful opening. The good weather made the opening even more successful.

A time extension was granted for the Trexler Business Center due to some additional zoning issues.

The debate continues over whether to look to outside engineers. One option discussed is to treat running the township’s government like a business.

Approval was made for sidewalk deferral recalls. The Wawa on Hamilton Boulevard, Wescosville and Binder’s Automotive, 6009 Hamilton St., were the two businesses affected.
