Brosky earns accolades at Lehigh
Several former Emmaus High School athletes had successful season in college sports this spring.
Lehigh University sophomore Hanna Brosky recently finished her second collegiate season. It was a memorable one for the mid-distance runner. Broksy took seventh place in the 500-meter run at the Patriot League Indoor Championships. She also helped the 4x400 relay team place eighth at those same championships. Brosky earned All-East accolades as a member of the 4x800 relay team at the ECAC/IC4A Championships last month.
Bloomsburg University junior Amber Csrenko placed 18th in the 1,500-meter run at this year’s PSAC Outdoor Champinships, while also helping the 4x800 relay team take fourth in the conference meet. In the indoor season, Csrenko ran in the 800-meter run and ran a time of 2:26.12. She set personal bests in three events (800-, 1500- and 3000-meter runs) in her outdoor season.
Senior Dan Kinek recently played his final college lacrosse game for Michigan. In his final campaign, the defender and former Hornet played in 13 games and tallied 10 ground balls.
Fairleigh Dickinson advanced all the way to the Northeast Conference Tournament championship game after posting a 16-15 record in conference during the season. Junior Jason Fatzinger played a key role in that run as he started 41 of the Knights’ 56 games. In 141 at-bats, the former Hornet posted a .298 batting average with 27 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He knocked in one of the Knights’ three runs against Bryant in the championship game.
Hartford freshman Claude Bradshaw made an impact on the Hawks’ lacrosse team from to get-go. As a defender playing in all 18 games, Bradshaw recorded 17 groundballs.
