Shirley L. (Singer) Lilly, 86, of Fogelsville, died May 2, 2016, in Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township, after a battle with cancer.

Throughout her final days, she was never alone, surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many others who loved her.

She and her husband Albert M. Lilly (Lindy) were married 68 years last June 15.

Born in Altoona, Blair County, she was the daughter of the late Edna C. (Singer) Watson.

A cafeteria food service worker in the Parkland School District for 11 years, she retired in 1980.

Past president of the Greenawalds Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, she was also a Cub Scout Den Mother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Pamala L. Magyarics and her husband, James of Bethlehem, Sharol L. Lilly and her partner, Timothy Young of Allentown, Gayle L. Schuster and her husband, Mark of Huntingdon, Lori L. LaFarr and her wife, Santa Rodriguez of Slatington; son Darrell L. Lilly and his wife, Donna of Johns Creek, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, L. Scott Lilly, and infant great-granddaughter Elysia Magyarics.
